THAILAND

November 17, 2017 – November 25, 2017

Zipline. Monk Chat. Volunteer. Island Hopping. Cooking Class.

We’re headed back to Thailand in November 2017 and this time we’ll be in Chiang Mai AND Phuket… in the same trip! The group will meet in Bangkok, then head to Chiang Mai, a rich cultural center in Northern Thailand, where we will volunteer, zip line through the jungle, and even chat it up with our favorite monk!

But of course, that’s only to whet our appetite. We will then fly to Phuket where we will enjoy the remaining time in the sun and sand. From a Thai cooking class on a private beach to island hopping across some of the most stunning waters, we hope to show you the best in Thai culture, natural beauty, cuisine, and adventure.

Upon arriving in Bangkok, join fellow travelers at our designated meeting spot. From there, we will fly to Chiang Mai where our adventure will officially begin!

We will check into our hotel, nestled in the beautiful and lush Chiang Mai. Once you’re situated in your room, we’ll meet up for our group dinner. Here, you can get better acquainted with the group as we review important details about the next few days.

For our first full day together, we will dedicate our time to spreading love by volunteering. We will spend the day at the Wildflower House, a home setup to assist mothers and children seeking refuge from unfortunate situations.

After learning about the home, their backgrounds, and their on-going projects, we will assist in the income-generating workshops that empower these women during trying times.

Enjoy learning about and helping with the different crafts they create, as well as getting to know those in the community.community in a special, one-day project.

Are you curious about Buddhism and Thai culture? What better way to learn these things than by chatting with monks! Here’s your opportunity to ask anything and get a true understanding of this beautiful culture, as well as supporting the monk’s English conversational skills.

Have fun planning today your way and explore on your own! Chiang Mai is known for it’s laid-back vibes, numerous temples, and impressive foodie scene. Try visiting the Morning Market at Chiang Mai Gate, indulge in authentic street food, or even ditch the map and get lost in the Old City

Be sure to hang on tight for today’s wild adventure! We’ll enjoy amazing views, above the lush jungle, as we soar through the trees along one of Thailand’s best zip lines.

Pack your things because today we fly to our next destination: the beautiful island of Phuket! Famous for its alluring beaches, enjoy some time along the water’s edge before experiencing the riches of the city.

Get your palette ready because today is all about delicious Thai food! A chef will guide us through a nearby market where we’ll learn about Thai ingredients and cooking techniques. Then, you’ll get the chance to put this info to good use as we prepare, cook, and eat the delicious food we learned about today during our authentic Thai cooking class.

Grab your swimsuit and prepare for a day in the surf and sand because today, we are island hopping! From Monkey Beach to sightseeing, to snorkeling the crystal blue waters, today’s adventure is sure to be one you’ll never forget!

Take a few last breaths of Phuket’s sea air before we fly back to Bangkok. As you depart, you’re sure to walk away with beautiful memories, new friends, and a deep appreciation for Thai culture.
