Covering topics that range from insightful reflections, traveling adventures, and random topics, her sense of humor, refreshing attitude, and overall entertainment value outshine the rest. We’re excited to have her travel with us again!
Upon arriving in the bustling capital city of Nairobi, you’ll head to our beautiful hotel. Once acclimated with our accommodations, join us for a group dinner. You will wine and dine with your fellow travelers as we go over important information about the trip. Let the adventures begin!
In true One Love fashion, we will open our hearts and share the love by giving back to this incredible community with a day of volunteering.
Today, we’ll strap up our boots and get ready to take a walk on the wild side. We will set out for the incredible wildlife and fantastic scenery found at one of Africa’s best reserves, Maasai Mara. Our game drives will take us in search of Africa’s elusive Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve.
Wherever you go you will see a frequent amount of wildlife including giraffe, baboons, warthogs, spotted hyena, impala, and wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, lions and hippos are also found in great numbers while cheetahs and leopards are reasonably common, but harder to spot. While staying in Maasai Mara reserve, we’ll also be able to learn about the local tribal traditions and cultures.
Let’s continue our love affair with East Africa as we set out on our second day in Maasai Mara. The reserve incorporates 583 square miles of incredible open savannah and a mass of amazing wildlife so you’re sure to witness anything that eluded you the day before. Only in Mara can you experience a wildlife panorama that stretches from horizon to horizon.
Today we will pack up, head to the airport, and travel to the island city of Mombasa. Once you are settled into our new accommodations, you are free to explore on your own! This city is best explored by foot, so feel free to walk up and down the winding streets.
You will be captivated by the mixture of varied cultures, history, and coastal metropolitan flair that is reflected in the people and architecture. Check out Fort Jesus Museum, stroll through the narrow streets of Old Town, or take advantage of a great photo op at the Mombasa Tusks. Whatever you choose is up to you!
Ready for a day filled with surf, sand, and fun in the sun? After the excitement of an East African safari, we will find sanctuary on the beaches of Mombasa. The azure and turquoise blue waters of the Indian Ocean will invite you to engage in activities like snorkeling, jet skiing, and kayaking while the white sand shoreline begs you to relax, detox and escape the modern world.
Today we will check out of the hotel and make our way back to Nairobi to depart. As we bid farewell, Kenya is a land that has surely captivated your heart, stirred your soul, and inspired your mind. Until we meet again…
